About
I am late identified AuDHD and PDA. I am an advocate, author, consultant and trainer. I am trauma informed and passionate about inclusion. I am actively anti racist and LGBTQ friendly.
I have over 30 years experience of working with vulnerable adults and young people, most of whom were neurodivergent. This includes working as a senior practitioner in the NHS where I managed teams of forensic drug workers in prisons. I also started and managed a community addiction recovery programme.
Most of my work revolves around supporting people in understanding neurodivergent burnout and recovery. I do a lot of training for all kinds of organisations and charities including social services, prison service and NHS. I am a dynamic and powerful public speaker. I also meet virtually with neurodivergent individuals and parents of neurodivergent children and young people to either help them on their recovery journey or to provide support in understanding themselves better and embrace neurodivergence.
I have written numerous books and guides about burnout which have helped thousands of individuals and parents understand burnout, recovery and also experiences such as meltdowns. My guide about autistic meltdowns for first responders is being used by various organisations including a number of police forces.
I am now currently writing a book on autistic burnout for health professionals.
